Digital - 1998-2016

In 1998 I moved over from marketing executive to webmaster at the Paramount Comedy Channel (now Comedy Central). Initially outsourced to Razorfish I took the website in-house and managed a small team to deliver the main website and campaign sites, integrate with the SKY EPG and support on and off-air activities.

Following that I managed digital projects and content both freelance (BBC / Red Bee / 3 Mobile) and agency-side (ThirtyThree). Clients have included: The Guardian, 3 Mobile, ITV, Selfridges, McDonald’s, Nationwide, EDF, and EE with budgets ranging from £15K to £500K.

Design research – from 2016

Following completion of an MSc in HCI (at UCL) I implemented a transformation to User Centred Design processes at ThirtyThree, developed UCD documentation for use internally and externally, trained staff in user research testing methods and analysis, pitched our UCD process to clients, designed and carried out research projects across diverse industries.

Working with start up (4AX) as UX consultant for a renewable energy product, I facilitated a design workshop with a team of Offshore wind turbine engineers and will be user-testing the prototype in 2020.

2024

Since 2019 at dxw I have been collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to improve public services for Westminster Libraries, Marine Coastguard Agency and Ministry of Justice.

I love meeting people, identifying design areas that can be fixed and solving problems.

I am interested in projects that are inclusive, promote health and combat social isolation.

In my spare time I’m working on my own design project with a social inclusion goal.

I am based in San Diego, CA this year.
